# Remembering Tony Goemans

Everything we do here at Goemans Appliances and everything we stand for is because of Tony Goemans. If you’ve ever wondered where the name comes from – Tony is where it all began.   
Tony, an immigrant from Holland, worked tirelessly from a young age helping his parents build a life for their family in Canada and then building a life for his own family. His incredible work ethic, determination and infectious personality propelled him into a career that would later on help him build Goemans Appliances.

To Tony, Goemans Appliances was always about family. Not just helping families who needed appliances, but by building relationships with his customers and making them feel like part of his own family. Since 1978 Tony ensured that Goemans was driven by one idea: character matters. Character, Knowledge, Integrity and Respect became the mission of Goemans Appliances early on and to this day remains the foundation of our company. 

*“His many friends and anyone who was lucky enough to have met him knew that he was one of a kind. He considered all of his employees a part of his family and will be forever missed in the business community - a true family man with a loving heart and an always present charismatic smile."*

Today, on what would be his 73rd birthday, we remember Tony -  the impact he left on our company and our memories will last a lifetime. ❤️
