Our Faves: Restaurant Edition

As a family owned business we greatly value and understand the importance of supporting local. We do our best to shop and eat local as much as we can. With the recent changes the world is facing, we feel that supporting local businesses is more important than ever. This is why we wanted to share with you our FAVOURITE local restaurants. These are places we love to eat, celebrate and go out with our colleagues, friends and family. We hope you give them a try and share your own in the comments below or on our social feeds! Goemans St. Catharine's  - Smiths Fine Foods

There's a New Butcher on the block! Three words … Bacon Brisket Burgers! Cooked some of these bad boys up for the staff and they were a winner! Made in-house, Adam the owner is a victim of his own success … call ahead for these beauties. Adams crew has also delivered us the best slow cooked beef, for a delicious beef on a bun, for our staff to enjoy on the run. Super clean shop - phone or text your order for curb-side.


Goemans Stoney Creek - PowerHouse 

Our associates here in Stoney Creek love the PowerHouse on 21 Jones Street. We visit frequently to enjoy their famous Wonton Nachos and Jerk Chicken….yummy! We even planned our Christmas party there and loved the whole thing from start to finish. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, and they have bands playing in the evenings. Oh and don’t forget their stone baked pizza, their wild mushroom is know as a Creek favourite. The safety measures they are taking is above and beyond. When we went there recently they provided sanitizer and staff were wearing face shields. Love seeing Ricky and Sarah’s smiling faces under their masks makes me feel safe dining out on their patio. Definitely the place to go or call for takeout in Stoney Creek!


Goemans Vaughan - Ciao Roma Pizza 

At Goemans Vaughan our staff love the True Roman Style Pizza al Taglio of Ciao Roma Pizza. Whether it’s for a quick bite, which they sell by the weight, or it’s a staff lunch with a couple of their Full Size or Half pizzas. Ciao Roma on Roytec Road in Woodbridge is our vote for the best pizza in Vaughan. Always fresh ingredients and truly a unique pizza experience.


Goemans London - Chucks Roadhouse 

Chucks Roadhouse in London is run by Tom Sada. He is a great guy that loves our Goemans staff! He treats all of us really well.  Even though it's part of a bigger chain, Tom makes everyone feel at home. For us they are the all around the best choice for lunch and dining experience for all. Food, service, ambiance all around exceptional.  The restaurant is adorned in a charming rustic western. Servers are always friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Nothing was left to be desired. Food-wise, a few highlights include: the best French onion soup you will ever taste, 8 oz. beef tenderloin. Cooked to perfection, well-seasoned and complemented by a superb whiskey peppercorn sauce, buttered Corn on the cob, perfectly baked potato went perfectly with all sweet toppings, for the non-meat eaters a great option includes a salmon steak. Cooked on a wood plank to perfection with a sweet honey mustard sauce.Chucks is not only a great choice for Lunch takeout. I love the fact they now have patio seating outside for us to safely enjoy a night out for dinner and drinks.     

Goemans Markham - Providential 9

Goemans Markham loves our new neighbour and local dim sum restaurant.  Providential 9 opened earlier this year and boy we're glad they did!  Irene and the staff are very courteous.  The early dim sum is really affordable and so delicious.  You can often see the staff from Goemans enjoying their awesome lunch spread. If you are in the Markham area you have to try them  out – the chicken feet are fantastic!

Goemans  Mississauga - Tavolo

We here at Goemans Mississauga really love Tavolo, an Italian restaurant by the Catch group of restaurants. We have had many Christmas parties there!  Their service and staff are excellent, always taking very good care of us. One of the dishes everyone requests in the Ox Tail Pasta which is just melt in your mouth amazing. Totally recommend checking them out! 

Goemans Kitchener - 1001 Nights Shawarma

Our Goemans Kitchener family always enjoys a unique take-out option. 1001 Nights Shawarma provides an amazing resource for this. Specializing in authentic Middle Eastern recipes, we have an opportunity to support a local family, and share some of the best food around. Their family platter is a perfect way for our team to share their culture and enjoy a great meal. They are always eager to serve, and the quality and presentation is second to none. We love our 1001 Nights Shawarma lunches!

Goemans Whitby - Big Boy's Burger

Goemans Whitby loves the BIG BOY'S BURGER in Whitby. They are famous for their burgers but their Gyros are even better! Our staff often orders from there, they just can't get enough. Their sides are amazing especially their onion rings. Their staff is friendly and the portions are  big. They offer good value for the money. It’s a must visit if you're in the area.


Goemans Head Office - Culaccino Bar + Kitchen

At Culaccino, they believe “Beer is beautiful' and it deserves to be experienced with an Italian Sensibility.  By guiding their Guests through the art of pairing over 100 beers with their Chef inspired from scratch foods, we create an unforgettable experience rooted in exploration and a sense of discovery.
